Reflections on Mother
Reflections on Mother
An exhibition exploring the many meanings of mothers and motherhood.
May 1-June 21
What does MOTHER mean to you? Does it bring up a favorite song? A fond memory of time spent together? A place she loved? A painful relationship? A sense of loss? A notable food she made? What does it mean to you, personally?
This Exhibition features artwork in all media that reflects biological, chosen, ancestral, symbolic, and personal interpretations of motherhood, as well as the joys, challenges, tenderness, strength, loss, and labor that come with caring for others
This exhibition is rooted in shared stories and lived experience, honoring the ways mothers and mother-figures shape families, cultures, and communities.
